Fifteen hundred people at a clambake is a lot of introductions.
Most of the work in this industry is won by somebody who already knew somebody. The association's calendar exists to make that less a matter of luck.
Dates, registration and sponsorship are handled through the association’s member system, which is where the calendar is actually kept current. Call (315) 437-9936 or open the member calendar.

Annual
The Builders Exchange Awards
Recognising exceptional skill and workmanship across the Central New York construction industry.
Formerly the Craftsmanship Awards, rebranded and redesigned. Categories include Construction Person of the Year, Project of the Year, and craftsmen and craftswomen across the trades and specialties. Nominations open ahead of the ceremony.
Late winter
Cabin Fever
A Mohawk Valley tradition marking the end of winter and the start of the construction season.
Long-running among the association's Mohawk Valley members and now hosted for members across the whole eighteen-county geography — which makes it the easiest place to meet the newer members up that way.
October
Syracuse Construction Career Day
More than five hundred high school students on real heavy equipment for a day.
Run with a committee of local industry leaders and educators. Hands-on operation of construction equipment and machinery, skilled trades exhibits and demonstrations, and booths from contractors, unions and trade organizations, apprenticeship programmes, colleges, design firms, the New York State Department of Transportation and equipment dealers.
August
Night with the Syracuse Mets
Members and their employees at NBT Bank Stadium for an evening of baseball.
February
Night at the Crunch
Discounted Syracuse Crunch tickets for members, at prices not offered to the general public.
Sponsorship
Every one of these is sponsored by member firms, and the events that fund scholarships and Career Day are sponsored twice over. If your firm wants a room full of Central New York contractors to know who you are, this is the least expensive way to do it.
